For those of you attending the seminar and others who might be attending, please be aware of the following venue change.
Horseshoe Lake is having a large special event at the park this weekend so we are needing to change venues. We will be meeting in Battle Ground, WA at Lewisville Park. For now, we will plan to meet at the Filbert shelter and hope it is not reserved. It is at the far end of the park, next to the baseball fields. It is easy to miss the entrance or see the shelter from the road, but it is on the right side. If you miss the first entrance and end up on the backside of the baseball fields, just take a right as you go behind the fields. This road will meander on back to down to Filbert.
Parking is $3 per car.
For the novices, we will plan to start at 10am or earlier (if everyone has arrived). For those already carting/testing, Ken and I will be setting up the course around 9am, so you can start practicing once the course is built and it will remain open throughout the seminar/practice. Novices will have a chance to play on the maneuvering course. If dogs are not in cart, we’ll show you some stuff to start doing to get them acclimated to a course, so do not worry if your dog is not in cart.
If you can send you me a final RSVP confirming your attendance, I would appreciate it. This will help us know how many people to expect and who to look out for. Additionally, if you are not bringing any equipment (harness and/or cart), please let me know so we can bring harnesses and carts for you to try/use. We will be going over equipment so will show you how to fit your dog to harnesses, carts, etc., so if you just have gear, but have yet to use it, that is fine.
Looking forward to meeting some new carting teams and continuing to work with our current teams.
